Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED)

OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) is a flat light-emitting technology created by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When an electric current is applied, a bright light is emitted. OLED displays are emitting displays that do not require a backlight, so they are thinner and more efficient than LCDs (which require a white backlight). OLEDs aren't just thin and efficient - they offer better picture quality and can be made transparent, flexible, foldable, and even collapsible and stretchable in the future. OLED is the future of display technology!
